Isn't knitting supposed to be relaxing?

I am feeling a little frustrated. I am working on the "La La Mittens" and it is my first time working with DPNs. I finished the cuff and started the body of the mitten.

What has me frustrated is the way the stitches pull apart when going from one needle to the other. I had asked Ericka what the difference was between using DPNs and the Magic Loop. She explained that with the Magic Loop you don't get the pulling stitches between needles. I wish I had bought a set of circular needles as well as DPNs so that I could switch.

So here it is, another Sunday night, and again I have problems with the project I am working on. It is too late to go out and buy some new needles and I don't want to continue with the loose stitches.

I think I will start something simple like a garter stitch dish cloth.
